- What is Confessh.us and who's behind this amazing website?
This website was the dream (literally) of Morgan Westfield. On one cold afternoon in 2009 on a bus ride home from work, she dreamt up a website where people could submit confessions about their lives whether they be good, bad, or just plain silly. From that dream she started working with some friends to build it.
Morgan Westfield is the owner and maintainer of the Confessh.us, she loves to design and build websites, play with Cisco equipment, read good books, play with her horses and her husky, listen to music, play video games and eat pie. She lives in Vermont, but plans on either visiting or moving to Japan someday!
Chris a.k.a. LtDan is the chief mockup approver and suggestion maker. He loves to make the naughty confessions, but also enjoys riding his bike, playing Call of Duty 4 and hacking the planet in his spare time. He comes from the sunny place of Florida and refuses to visit Morgan in freezing cold Vermont.
Jimmy Brancaccio provides some hardware for Confessh.us to live on. He also helps write some of the PHP and MySQL scripts that run the website. He too comes from Vermont and enjoys airsoft, funny movies, good music and mountain biking.
Sam Smith is our amazing MySQL developer! He helped develop the database structure and offered tons of good insights on how to build the back-end.
We'd also like to thank... Thomas Ingle, Chad Bean, and #apache for helping us with our mod_rewrite issues. A super big thanks to everyone who encouraged this project and our wonderful beta testers. Without you guys, we be even more bugged!
- What does this website run on?
For the geeky people out there, this site runs on a VPS container. We have 3.39GHz CPU, 102GBs of disk space, and 2304MBs RAM. And of course lots of love (and confessions)!.
- Is this website free to join?
Yes, it's 100% free. We don't display any ads either (at least for the moment)!
- Can I submit confessions anonymously?
Yes, you most definitely can! You can either set an option in your profile settings (not avilable yet) which will enable you to submit all your confessions anonymously or, you can check of the checkbox titled 'Submit Anonymously' when you're submitting a confession.
- Will I still get comment and like notifications if I submit my confession anonymously?
In the future we hope to build in a notification system where you can get emails when someone comments or likes your confession.
- How come there are character limits (confessions, comments, wallposts)?
We have a character limit because it's the cool thing to do!
- Can I delete a comment someone has left on my confession?
At this time you cannot delete a comment someone has left on your confession(s). If the comment is abusive, then please contact support and we'll review and delete the comment if necessary.
- Is there a way to delete a post someone left on my wall?
At this time there is no way for a normal user to delete a comment someone has left on your profile. If you feel the comment needs to be deleted, then please contact support and we'll review and delete the comment if necessary.
- Is there a way to report a confession?
Currently we're working on this feature, if you feel that a confession needs to be reported, then please contact support and we'll review and delete the comment if necessary.
- Where can I go for support?
